Experience the breathtaking variety of our natural and engineered stones!
With a total area of more than 50,000 m² of natural stone, we are the largest natural stone warehouse in Berlin and offer you a unique selection of different kinds of natural stones such as marble, granite, quartzite, slate and limestone in the highest quality. In addition to our natural stones, we also offer engineered stones such as quartz composite and ceramics.
So let yourself be inspired, discover the beauty of our stones and take the opportunity to be individually advised by our competent staff.
Whether a stone is suitable for exterior application depends on many factors, such as plate thickness, surface treatment and laying technique. Please contact our staff to find out whether the stone you are looking for is suitable for the desired application.
The price groups have to be adjusted at the moment, since the buying conditions on the world market are turbulent right now. In approx. 2 to 3 weeks more detailed information will be available again here. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The term “hard rocks” is used here to summarize various metamorphic and magmatic rocks which have similar technical properties. They are generally resistant to common household acids, convenient for surface polishing and have strong scratch-resistance. In natural stone industry they are often simply called “Granite”, even though, strictly speaking, they include other rock types such as Gabbro, Labradorite, Gneiss or Granulite.
Marble and limestone are types of rocks mainly composed of carbonate minerals, such as Calcite. Marble has emerged from the sediment limestone by geological processes as a transformation rock. Both groups of rocks, which are summarized here by virtue of similar properties, are distinguished by their high variety in their colors and patterns. Marble and limestone are not polish-resistant against common household acids or abrasive cleaning agents due to their lower hardness and mineralogical composition.
In the natural stone industry, Onyx refers to an exclusive limestone, whose striking structures are reminiscent of tree trunks or agate and is not to be confused with the mineral of the same name. The peculiarity of this material is its high transparency, which allows a good transillumination. This feature makes it possible to obtain exciting light scenes, for example, at sales counters, receptions or stairs.
Quartzites are metamorphic rocks containing very high amount of quartz, which are characterized by high acid and abrasion resistance. The possible applications include both the exclusive interior design and outdoor applications such as terraces.
Sandstone is a fine-grained sedimentary rock, which is composed of at least 50% sand grains and usually consists of quartz. It is used extensively as a building material. Some examples of the application are facade, column and pillar linings, window and door frames or column stones.
Slate is a series of weak to medium-strength metamorphic, mostly relatively soft rocks with a clear, smooth cleavage. It is used with the natural surface resulting from cleavage, but it can also be sanded or brushed.
Serpentinite, like marble, is a metamorphic rock and is often referred to simply as colored marble in the natural stone industry. In contrast to marble, serpentinite is composed of other minerals, such as the serpentine minerals, which are also responsible for the most green color.
Travertine is a limestone formed by the precipitation of carbonate from freshwater sources and has a characteristic porosity. Depending on whether the raw blocks are sawn transversely or parallel to the deposition direction, a markedly banded or a diffuse cloudy appearance is obtained. The color spectrum ranges from bright beige and creamy shades to gray, strong yellow or red to brown. In addition to being used indoors, e.g. in bathrooms, travertine is also used outdoors, for example, among other things for facades and terraces, depending on the correct laying technique.
Basalt is an extrusive rock formed by rapid solidification of thin liquid lava. It is usually very homogeneous and solid. The color spectrum is between dark gray and black. Thanks to the small gas bubbles, which remain in the stone during the rapid solidification, many basalts have a characteristic porosity.
Quartz composite is a type of engineered stone made of natural quartz, pieces of glass, mirror, granite or other natural stones, and resin. For more detailed and accurate information, please refer to the technical specification sheet that we can provide you with upon request.
